In recent years, Wireless Mesh Network has been a research hot spot for its convenient and efficient deployment, low cost, wide scope of coverage and strong expansibility. With the development of radio technology, multi radio multi channel technology is applied in wireless mesh network, come into being multi-radio multi-channel wireless mesh network. In order to meet the constantly improving QoS requirement, this dissertation conducted a thorough research on channel allocation and routing algorithms.Based on MRMC-AODV, a Cross-Layer algorithm (JRCA-AODV) is proposed in this article, at the same time of routing, channel allocation is conducted. It can not only meet the demand of routing, guarantee the throughput, but also can simplify the process of channel allocation, improve the utilization rate of channel. In the phase of channel assignment in Cross-layer algorithm, this dissertation analyze the structure of wireless mesh network, the objective of channel assignment as well as its constraints hence establishing a channel interference model of multi radio multi channel. Based on the model, a heuristics distributed channel assignment algorithm is proposed. Channel assignment is completed by selecting the channel which has the minimum interference degree for link.In the phase of routing in Cross-Layer algorithm, routing parameters is optimized based on AODV. Residual capacity is redefined as well. When residual capacity is bigger than users' demand for bandwidth, people should choose the link that uses less expected transmission time. Otherwise, link that uses more path residual capacity should be chosen. Finally, this dissertation conducted performance simulation of JRCA-AODV Cross-Layer algorithm on NS-2 simulation platform. Simulation result shows that JRCA-AODV algorithm is superior to conventional algorithms in improving throughput, reducing delay and decreasing packet loss rate.
