Since boundary face method has been proposed, it is developing very rapidly and has been widely used in the study on different kinds of problems, such as the contact problem, the heat conduction problem and the elastic dynamics problem. Fruitful results have been achieved. Compared with the finite element method, boundary face method is a numerical calculation method which rises in recent years. Its pretreatment part and post-processing part are not complete, so there is a lot of work to do.Post-processing visualization is of crucial importance for the application of the boundary face method. Referring to the post-processing of the finite element method,this paper carries some research on the realization of the post-processing functions based on UG software, such as the contour, animation and the two-dimensional plot graph. The concrete research contents are as follows:Firstly, this paper uses C++ language to program in the Microsoft Visual Studio2008 to build the program framework and realizes the interaction with UG software.Then functions provided by UG/Open API are used to write the program algorithm to realize the display function of the contour. At the same time, the display function of the contour is successfully applied in the result display of the friction-free elastic contact problem based on boundary face method.Secondly, referring to the principle of animation production, the operation interface is made by making the MFC non-modal dialog and the program algorithm of the animation function is writed by using C++ language. The program algorithm realizes the animation function through the way of fast refreshing static images of the contour.Thirdly, in terms of mapping two-dimensional plot graphs, functions provided by Open GL are used to write the program algorithm in the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 with the method of object-oriented programming to draw the two-dimensional plot graphs. Then the operation interface is made by using MFC dialog boxes to make it convenient for the users to modify the parameters of the graph. The function of mapping two-dimensional plot graphs is finally realized. At the same time, this function has been successfully applied in the result display of the friction-free elastic contact problem based on boundary face method.In conclusion, this paper makes an in-deep study on the function development forthe post-processing based on the boundary face method and realizes the functions of the contour, animation and the two-dimensional plot graph. The functions are vertified by some concrete examples. The research work in the paper lays a solid foundation for the perfection of the post-processing based on the boundary face method.
