In the era of big data, data is resources.Born at the right moment, data journalism is a new way to coverage news, which has profoundly changed the original way to coverage news. Data journalism has its specialty----the visualization of data.The development of data visualization showed a trend of rapid development due to the fundamental support of the numerous data resources, the development and popularization of related visualization technology and the increasing demand of readers. The focus of this thesis is to analyze the data visualization of the finalists of2015 Data Journalism Awards. The data visualization forms of those finalists pieces are various, not limited to the common ones. Much attention is paid to the interactive design, enhancing the interaction between readers and works. As for the details, the data visualization also emphasize the reading experience of readers and pay attention to the design of graphics, color and the reading guidance. To be excellent data news,the above aspects should be considered the the process of visual design. During the process of studying the works, it collects more visualization forms and interactive design for reference.These excellent cases provide a good sample for studying the data visualization of data journalism. They represent not only the development trend of data journalism in terms of data visualization, but also the model of data visualization in the data journalism field. Based on the analysis of these cases and combing the current situation of data journalism, this thesis carries out a simple reflection on the development of China’s data visualization and puts forward the existing problems as well as the suggestions for its development. |
