The descriptor multi-agent systems is an important part in the general field of control systems theory. The applications of it can be found in practical, especially in power systems and dynamical systems which contained the constrained conditions.Among the main research issues on coordination control of multi-agent systems, consensus problem is one of the most important and fundamental issues, whose main task is to design the distributed protocols based on the local relative information so that the states of a group of agents can reach an agreement. The main contributions of this dissertation can be summarized two parts.Firstly,we studied the admissible consensus of the descriptor multi-agent systems via adaptive control under an undirect graph. The special case which the descriptor systems included Lipschitiz nonlinearity is also considered. The next work investigated the distributed admissible consensus for descriptor multi-agent systems via observerbased protocols.Based on normal linear systems, the state observe is designed for descriptor multi-agent systems. And the full-order and reduced-order observer-based consensus protocols can be unified in our proposed framework.Specific details are arranged as follows. In chapter 1,we summarize the background of the descriptor multiagent systems,as well as the classical result related the systems and the issues addressed in this thesis. In chapter 2,we investigate the admissible consensus problem of the descriptor multi-agent systems via adaptive protocols.we also considered the special case, which the descriptor systems included Lipschitiz nonlinearity.Lastly,a simple simulation example is provided to illustrate our established result. In chapter 3,we study the distributed admissible consensus problem of descriptor multi-agent systems via observer-based protocols.Fullorder and reduced-order observer-based protocols as special cases can be constructed with our proposed framework. And the algorithms are provided to design the gain matrixes. In chapter 4,we consider the admissible consensus problem of discrete-time descriptor multi-agent systems with distributed observerbased control protocols.Based on the modified generalized discrete-time Riccati equation and Lyapunov admissible theory,a consensus protocol is established.Chapter 5 is the summary of the paper.
