In today's digital era, using image processing algorithm for medical image processing can largely auxiliary clinical observation and diagnosis of the lesions. As one crucial link in the processing of images, image enhancement determines the overall visual effect of image after processing and the target image definition. Therefore, the research of medical images enhancement algorithm appears very important. The research object of this article is mainly medical X-ray images. After the study and analysis of a large number of references on the background of research on image enhancement with the domestic and foreign development present situation, a thorough research of medical image enhancement was carried on,a special process was given. In this paper, the main research results are as follows.The existing medical images are analyzed and classified, its imaging principle are understood. According to different medical image principle, the advantages and disadvantages are analyzed according to its characteristics.The choose of medical image processing tools. According the effect of the algorithm and the ease of code implementation, the simulation of algorithm is performed by Matlab in this paper.Medical image processing algorithm was studied. Including image preprocessing, image space filtering enhancement, image of frequency domain transformation, image frequency domain filtering enhancement, etc. In consideration of medical image features in this paper, better treatment effect of algorithm is chosen to achieve the purpose of image enhancement.Determining a better method to improve its high frequency emphasis filtering algorithm based on the existing algorithm of shortcomings. Using two operators to deal with high frequency emphasis filtering processing results in spatial domain respectively. Using Sobel operator and median filter to remove noise in images to obtain target image contour information. Then, using Laplacian processing and add it to the original image after preprocessing for detailed information of the target image. The results of the two kinds of sharpening processing using algebraic multiplication are combined, and it is added to image of pretreatment. At last, using histogram equalization to adjust image contrast,image processing result is got.Matlab simulation analysis verified the effectiveness of method in this paper, medical image is enhanced and the purpose of this article is achieved.
