In recent years, with the advent and rapid development of launch platform technology, the feasibility of launched platform communications become more and more large. A large number of research institutions and researchers have begun to increasingly focus on launched platform communications. Because of its wide coverage, good channel conditions, etc, launched platform communications provide a good reference for the future development of wireless mobile communications. We can use the launch platform to carry communications equipment, and provide communication services for wide area. If the launch platform equipped with 4G / B4 G base station, it can be compatible with the cellular mobile communication system. So we can learn from the macrocell / small cellular technology, and then build ground and air layering heterogeneous network to providing seamless broadband wireless access services to the air, ground and maritime users. With the growth of application requirements, Integrated Air-ground communications has become a new hot development direction of wireless communication.Currently, the energy consumption has become one of the urgent problems of communication. Especially for Air-ground communications, it is difficult to supply power for launch platform. Therefore, how to reduce the energy consumption is also a problem which Integrated Air-ground communications must face. In order to solve the problem of energy consumption in Integrated Air-ground network, a reliable network energy efficiency model is very essential. In this paper, a two-tier Integrated Air-ground communications heterogeneous network model is built. And the energy efficiency characteristics of Integrated Air-ground network are analyzed. The paper also raises an energy efficiency optimization model based on network coverage. The base station random distribution model is brought into Integrated Air-ground network instead of traditional hexagonal cell mode in the paper. The works begin with analyzing power request of a typical user in the network, and then transmit power of a single cell is got. Thus we build the energy efficiency model of the Integrated Air-ground network. After that, the energy efficiency characteristics of Integrated Air-ground heterogeneous networks are analyzed. In the paper it is proofed that there is a optimal density of base station in the air or on the ground to making network energy efficiency become largest. An energy efficiency optimization mode restricted by network coverage is also proposed. In the last of this paper, some simulations are done. The network energy efficiency mode in this paper is proofed right by those simulations. And the energy consumption in network decrease through optimization. The network energy efficiency model in the paper will be help for building an actual Integrated Air-ground heterogeneous network in the future.
