In recent years, with the progress of science and technology and the development of Internet technology, social networks have been developing so rapidly. Social networks has hundreds of millions of users both at home and abroad, such as Sina Weibo, Facebook, etc. Social networks provide a platform for users to share information and communicate, which can meet the social needs of people very well. At the same time, malicious events have increased a lot through social networks. Therefore, it is necessary to control the spread of information in social networks. In social networks, identifying influential opinion leaders accurately and effectively will contribute to guiding public opinions. Using the opinion leader nodes to control the network will accelerate the spread of positive information and suppress the diffusion of rumors. This paper presents how to identify and use public opinion leaders in social networks.Firstly, by analyzing the structure of social networks and the characteristics of node behavior, a method of opinion leader nodes recognition is proposed based on the degree of intimacy of nodes in social networks. This method first analyzes the factors that affect the degree of intimacy between nodes. And then, by the interaction frequency and hop delay between the nodes, the closeness between the neighbor nodes and the non-adjacent nodes in the social networks is measured. Furthermore, the closeness value between the nodes is used as the link weights in social network model, and the corresponding update strategy is used to update the network diagram. At last, opinion leader nodes are identified by the updated network diagram based on betweenness algorithm.Secondly, the influence of opinion leaders and the effectiveness of the identification need to be verified. The opinion leader nodes are taken as the initial seed node of the independent cascade model, by which the message is spread. By comparing this method with other identifying opinion leader nodes' methods, the result of experiment shows that the proposed method is effective and practical.Finally, the control method of rumors about social network is put forward. This method controls rumors by injecting the truth into social networks. On the basis of identifying the opinion leader nodes accurately and effectively, when the rumor is spread in the social network, the truth should be injected into to the opinion leader nodes in order to control the spread of the rumor. The validity of the proposed control method is verified by theoretical analysis and model simulation.
