Traditional forms of wavelet has been a kind of linear processing tools, after years of research the theory of wavelet has been basically mature, application field is becoming more and more widely. But the wavelet transform is a kind of linear signal analysis tool, its linear approximation in many cases can't depict its main properties. Therefore, in recent years, nonlinear wavelet analysis method has been more and more attention, based on nonlinear wavelet image processing research is also increasing, such as logarithmic wavelet transform and morphological wavelet transform is the current popular two nonlinear wavelet analysis methods.The article based on the principle of notes strapping machine such as strapping notes of analysis and research, through the strapping paper currency image edge detection to determine binding effect, So notes image edge detection based on banding simulation effect for clues, respectively the logarithm of the wavelet transform, morphological wavelet transform algorithm is compared with the wavelet transform algorithm in the advantage of edge detection. The full text from three major aspects.The first part, introduce the basic theory of wavelet transform, including continuous wavelet transform, discrete wavelet transform, multi-resolution analysis and Mallat algorithm, finally, the MATLAB software simulation paper edge detection based on wavelet transform. The second part is the logarithm of the wavelet transform and the research and application of morphological wavelet transform, contains the content are:logarithmic wavelet transform and morphological wavelet transform algorithm is introduced, and application of two kinds of notes edge detection algorithm, and finally compared with the paper wavelet transform edge detection results, analysis of the advantages of both methods. The third part, puts forward the logarithmic morphological edge detection algorithm of wavelet transform and application of the notes edge detection algorithm simulation.In the end, based on the logarithmic morphological wavelet transform were analyzed and summarized in this paper the paper edge detection algorithm can enhance image contrast, retaining the edge of the completeness and other characteristics, to prove the feasibility of the algorithm, a further promote the use of broad prospects.
