Wireless Location System is a combination of wireless communication technology, computer technology and electronic technology. Because this system possesses characteristics of low cost, low power consumption, self-organization and quick deployment, it is widely used in military, domestic, agricultural and industrial. Currently scholars have carried out a lot of researches on location algorithm, but in practical applications, the existing methods has its problems, such as the accumulative error,low accuracy of positioning and low stability. We urgently need to develop a high-precision positioning algorithm which can be widely applied.First, here is a review and comparison of wireless location technology. According to the application scenarios, localization algorithm based on distance is selected as the main emphasis of this research. This paper explained the advantages and disadvantages of range technology, given the localization algorithm performance criteria.Secondly, two-step data processing method are used to reduce distance error and positioning error. I improve the node localization algorithm and design a 2D / 3D real-time filter smoothing tracking algorithm(FSTA).This algorithm has high positioning accuracy and hard stability tracking. First, I choose UKF filtering methods to eliminate the errors contained in the distance; And then according corrected focusing value, generalized trust region subproblems algorithm is used to calculate the initial value of location coordinates; Finally, i get the final positioning result by using a smoothing operation to process the coordinate initial value. Using the two-dimensional positioning, when the ranging error's standard deviation is 0.5, FSTA have real-time positioning accuracy of 0.44 m.Compared to the traditional trilateral location algorithm's accuracy, FSTA algorithm increased about 57.7%.And compared to the optimization algorithm proposed in recent years, it improved 14.3%. Simulation results show that, FSTA proposed algorithm has higher accuracy and better stability.Finally, i choose Nanotron's NA5TR1 as the RF chip, use CSS-based ranging technology and FSTA location algorithm, and design a three-dimensional real-time location tracking system. Hardware design positioning system is described in detail, and it gives the software flow chart of the process of communication for each node. Simulation results of position system show that in the three-dimensional localization, real-time positioning accuracy of FSTA algorithm reach 0.55 m.Compared to the traditional four-sided positioning algorithm and optimized algorithm in recent years, the positioning accuracy increased about 48% and 4.4%. FSTA algorithm effectively eliminates the drawbacks of traditional three-dimensional algorithm in which z-axis error is large, achieving a uniform distribution of error in x-axis, y-axis, z-axis. CSS-based three-dimensional positioning system designed in this paper has high positioning accuracy, high stability and hard real-time, meets the requirements of industrial applications with a strong practical value.
