Source number estimation of wireless channel is a significant component of channel measurement and modeling, which will be the key to the real transmission environment reproduction and to improve communication quality. The analysis of channel is dependent on the multiple dimension parameters estimation accuracy, while the source number is an important indicator of performance of parameter extraction algorithms. Due to the dynamic characteristics of real radio channel, the correlation of each array sensor channel often changes in the practical application, so the traditional estimation methods will suffer from a severe performance degradation. Recent years, statistics theory becoming a novel and powerful tool in the field of array signal processing, makes the improvement of source number estimation accuracy and parameter extraction rate possible.The first section of this article is reviewed the evolution and research results at home and abroad, then it offers an entry point to draw forth the wireless signal propagation model, and reveals the relationship between signals number and parameter extraction. After that, it details eight kinds of detection methods in white and colored noise environment, following a method that can be used in the unknown noise scenario are proposed which is based on the Gerschgorin criterion and resampling theory. Additionally, the optimal values of sampling ratio and subsample number are derived. Otherwise, the feasibility, accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and method are verified in the parameter extraction simulation experiment.The innovation point of this paper is to combine with the traditional method and resampling statistical theory, an algorithm which can be used in the unknown noise, small snapshots and low SNR is proposed, attaching the high accuracy resampling source number estimation methods, this paper completes an implementation which can output the channel parameter(Delay, Angle of arrival, Angle of departure, Doppler frequency, Complex amplitude) from received signals. It will play a reference role in the channel modeling and measurement.
