| Nowadays, three-dimensional imaging and display technology is focused in the field of multimedia, and is widely researched by scientists and engineers in the world. It is believed that this technique will take the viewers vivid and realistic visual experience. This paper analyzes the reason for the different visual effects caused by the phenomenon that one same stereoscopic image is displayed on different size screens, and proposes an enhanced three-dimensional display method by adjusting the image parallax. This method applies stereo matching algorithm to obtain the horizontal parallax of stereoscopic image, and uses a reliable access composed of image segmentation and connectivity detection to determine the boundaries of the horizontal parallax. In order to normally display the stereoscopic image, the boundaries and other parameters are combined to adjust the position of the left and right view in the original stereoscopic image, which can form a comfortable visual effect. The experiment indicates that the proposed adaptive adjustment method can improve the three-dimensional display significantly. In this paper, a setup which can be used for rapid panoramic stereo imaging is presented, which is based on the proposed basic implementation of circular projection. We first get multiple stereo pairs instantly by fixing multiple cameras on the proposed setup, which is an approximate implementation of circular projection. Based on similar triangles and structural similarity(SSIM), we then prove that the influence on the resultant stereo pairs caused by this approximate setup is slight. With these stereo pairs, the automatic panoramic image stitching algorithm is applied to generate panoramas for both eyes. In addition, with reasonable distance between cameras and the scene, physical dimensions of this setup are given. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that when capturing the images with proper scene depth, our scheme can be used to generate cylindrical stereo panoramic image, which can provide viewers with distinguishing stereoscopic experience. The device can be installed on the mobile equipment and captures panoramic stereo image at a moment without stopping. |
