Vehicle recognition and tracking is an important subject of the intelligent transportation system,it is the fusion of digital image processing,computer application,pattern recognition,sensor communication and other advanced technologies.Vehicle recognition and tracking plays an important role in many fields such as civil and military.Over the years,with the increasing development of science and technology,vehicle recognition and tracking has become a hot topic in the research of intelligent transportation system.The main research content of this paper is as follows:(1)This paper makes a study on the moving target detection algorithm including background difference method and two frames difference method,and processes the experimental simulation.Through the experimental analysis,the background difference method has higher requirements on building background;the two frames difference methodwill appear the phenomenon of "empty",influencing the detectionresults.Three frame difference methodis used to detect moving targets;it can be more accurate to detect the moving targets.(2)In view of the image rotation and light intensity change in vehicle recognition results,the paper designs a vehicle recognition fusing LBP feature with PCA feature.Firstly it calculates the LBP features of target vehicle image,uses the PCA method to make dimension reduction for LBP features,and finally processes the classification.The experimental results show that the algorithm has good robustness on the image rotation and light intensity change.(3)In order to achieve real-time tracking of moving target vehicle,the paper designs a target tracking algorithm based on Kalman filter and Camshift algorithm,through the PTZ controls the rotation of the camera,completes the active tracking of target vehicle.The experimental results show that the algorithm can extend the camera tracking field and has good real-time performance and tracking accuracy.(4)The paper transplants the designed target tracking algorithm on the DM6437 experiment platform,controls the camera rotation through the yuntai control algorithm,and achieves real-time tracking of moving targets.The experimental results show that the transplantation of tracking algorithm has good real-time performance and stability.
