Design And Implementation Of Android-based Fall Detection System

As one of the main causes of accidental injury death,falls brings a lot of health problems,and leads to great economic losses.Deep study of fall detection and rescure through the collection,research and analysis of human motion data is very important to the elderly's health and improve the quality of medical care.With the growing of the social aging,the effective fall monitoring method has become one of the most pressing needs of the society.This paper makes a deep research on the problem of falling detection based on a large number of references,and designs a perfect motion data acquisition and detection experiment.A fall detection algorithm based on vector machine SVM and decision tree algorithm is proposed.On the basis of these works,a fall detection system based on Android smart phone is designed and realized.The system has the advantages of portable,real-time monitoring,accurate detection,and perfect alarm measures.The main works and contents of this paper are as follows:1.A set of movement data acquisition experiments is designed.It collects data through the simulation of the elderly' a series of behavior,and analyses the relationship between human movement and various kinds of motion parameters;System obtains dataset after processing,which is provided to the algorithm analysis;2.By comparing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the linear SVM and the Decision Tree algorithm,it makes a concrete analysis of the question and proposes a better two detection algorithm which is more accurate and sensitive;3.An Android-based fall detection system is designed and implemented.The system uses the mobile phone's built-in sensors to collect human real time motion data,and monitors the user's movement by falling detection model.While falling,the system alarms lacally,and obtains the location information of the elderly by localization module of GPS and base station.Meanwhile,it edits SMS messages with the location information to realize remote alarm.It reduces fall-related injuries by efficient algorithm and measures.
