| Along with the diversified development of wireless communication service, the demand for the interactive service has been increased with high speed. The satisfaction of interactive service user is determined by uplink and downlink performance jointly, only improving the transmission quality of one of the links is not enough. Most of resource allocation algorithms focus on one direction optimization of uplink and downlink, joint uplink/downlink resource allocation has been concentrated less, hence they are powerless to the resource allocation problem of interactive service user. In order to satisfy the uplink and downlink quality requirements of interactive service, the paper researches the problems of joint uplink/downlink resource allocation in wireless networks. The joint uplink/downlink resource allocation issue in the wireless OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) networks with interactive service is studied in this paper. The joint uplink/downlink resource allocation scheme and algorithm are proposed, which allocate resources dynamically according to the service requirements and uplink/downlink channel conditions. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively avoid the resource wastes caused by existing algorithms, and improve the system performance, in terms of throughput and energy efficiency. For the OFMDA wireless networks with interactive service users, network coding technique has been used to the process of resource allocation, and the joint uplink/downlink resource allocation scheme and algorithm base on network coding are proposed. Network coding makes it possible to implement multicast communication in the downlink for interactive service users, and improves the downlink resource utilization. The proposed algorithm can avoid the resource wastes caused by existing algorithms effectively. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm have further improvement of system performance outperforms the researches of chapter 2.In the Macro-Femtocell heterogeneous networks, the interactive service with symmetric uplink/downlink rate has been studied. We have analyzed the constraints of users’ rates and cross-tier interference in heterogeneous networks, and proposed the joint uplink/downlink resource allocation scheme and algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the resource waste and improve resource utilization. |
