The Research And Application Of The Detection System To Measure The Material Transportation On Conveyor Belt Based On Machine Vision Technology

In the coal industry, there are more attention on the process control of transporting coal for the purpose to save energy and cost, and it has become one of the key techniques to detect the material transportation on conveyor belt. However, there are some deficiencies in the contact detection methods as well as non-contact detection methods. Therefore, there are very important practical significance and research value to study a measure method that is simple, high precision, high automation and low measurement cost.All the study in this paper based on the specific project requirements to measure the coal transportation on the conveyor belt. The paper proposes a noncontact measurement detection system based on the machine visual detection technology and computer image processing technology. The system collects the material images using industrial camera and line laser, it realize the transportation measurement by use of computer image processing with the parameter of belt speed and material density.Firstly, based on the overall analysis according to the user demand, this paper determines the overall design scheme of the system, selects the key hardware and designs the software using object-oriented technology. Then we design the actual processing program in Visual C#.Net development environment, which has been used in the laboratory experiments.We built the transportation measurement prototype simulation system in the laboratory based on the above research and design, and do a lot of testing for the developing procedures to verify the feasibility of the system. In addition, according to the transportation of the coal belt, we offer measurement based on digital image processing techniques on the conveyor belt coal measure scheme for the volume of the other big bulk material area or volume measurement puts forward the means of measurement.
