Currently, the automatic Detection of SMD before mount technical in SMT process is still a blind spot, this topic aim for development requirements of SMD automatic detection equipment, design and research on the corresponding control system. This paper mainly studies on high precision transfer strategy of SMD, error compensation and trajectory planning. The main contents is as follows:1. Based on the property of the SMD components and its transfer operation, a scheme is raised for SMD photoelectric parameter detection and equipment design. Determines the "IPC + motion control card" control mode over all control system. Complete the key components selection and equipment action process design.2. Establish the error compensation model for Components transfer. In view of the h unavoidable errors in visual measurable and equipment inherent errors, error compensation model for the components pick-and-place is established. Use ellipse fitting calibrating the error of rotation axis and calculate the camera coordinate system error.3. Put forward the mult-fixture and parallel schemes to shorten the whole process time-consuming. For the long distance, high speed, high acceleration motion of transfer SMD, contrast trapezoid curve, S type curve and trigonometric curve on the positioning accuracy, time-consuming and system strike. The simulation indicates the S curve has a shorter run time and better flexible system.4. Verify the control system scheme of SMD components detection equipment by experiment. Results show that in long distance, high speed, high acceleration point-to-point movement, S curve has the optimal positioning accuracy and run time. Through actual test on the 0201 capacitor, 0603 led and 1206 resistance SMD components, the proposed scheme can meet the high precision for pick-and place.The design for SMD components detection equipment control system has good practical value, which the actual detection equipment has been fully validated.
