With the development of cloud computing technology, as a hosted of cloud computing, data center and data center networking technologies has been the further development. One of the most prominent technologies is software-defined networking: SDN, with the centralized control and global management capacity it nature in accordance with the functional requirements of a large data center, received extensive coverage in the industry and development.A modern data center network has a unique high-bandwidth, low latency characteristics, for the TCP protocols, which have been developed and widely used, there is a certain contradiction, because it violates the TCP protocol which is based on some fundamental assumptions, and that will cause a serious problem, that is "TCP Incast" problem. "Incast" is a communications pattern which is often found in data center networks, in this pattern, multiple senders concurrently transmit data blocks to a single receiver,and any sender can not send another data block until all the senders finish transmitting the current block.When the number of senders increases, the goodput of the receiver will become lower than the capacity of bottleneck link in one or even two orders of magnitudes. So, how to solve this problem, it is an important topic with real value.To address this situation, in this paper, first of all we made an in-depth analysis with the existing TCP Incast solutions, then we proposed a TCP Incast solutions based on SDN. Specific contents and results of the study are as follows:1) Introduces related development of network technology of data center, and characteristics with software-defined networking(SDN), then we described the TCP Incast problem, and gave an in-depth analysis of the present situation of the research on TCP Incast.2) With analysis of existing solutions from the existing programme we put forward a TCP Incast solutions based on SDN. By leveraging the SDN excellent characteristics of centralized control and overall management ability, we can make prediction with entering traffic of the bottleneck link switch, and avoid the TCP Incast problem happen.3) Gave a design with the TCP Incast solution and imlemented it based on Floodlight, and then we use the Mininet experiment simulation platform to validate the solution, results indicated that the programme can effectively achieve the desired functionality.
