According to the statistical data, heart disease has become the biggest factor that results in the deaths of human beings. In the view of the human body function cycle, the left ventricle which is responsible for supplying all the tissues and organs with blood is undoubtedly the most important part of the heart, thus, modeling the left ventricle is of great significance for diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.In this paper, on the basis of detailed analysis of the existing heart modeling technology, an active appearance modeling method based on the cardiac MRI image is proposed to construct the three-dimensional flexible model of left ventricle. First, align the image through marked left ventricle MRI sample training set, including removal of translation, scaling and rotation, building the shape model. Second, dealing with the average shape according to the Delaunay tetrahedral subdivision, guiding the deformation of the grid nodes to generate the mesh of each training set, extract the gray value information within the grid, and perform the gray level information normalized processing, remove the artifact and construct the texture model. Merge the shape model with the texture model to construct the active appearance model. In the process of the construction of the models with data application of principal component analysis, reduce the dimension in order to reduce the change of the description model parameters. Compared with other modeling methods, the advantages of the methods is deriving from the model parameters of limited to capture as much information as possible, not only make use of the shape information but also get the statistical analysis related to the image texture, finding out the relationship between the shape and texture. Achieve the precise reconstruction of the target object with good stability and robustness. On this basis, match the left ventricle model with the MRI image of patients, calculation the difference between the model and the target object texture with AAM searching algorithm, controling the change of model parameters, generating the 3D active appearance model of the left ventricle of the patient. In the whole process of modeling and matching, adopting an idea of modular design, in order to achieve improvement or innovation in the future. Finally, do the modeling and matching experiment in 3D-DOCTOR platform, achieving the desired effect.
