In Lev Vygotsky's brilliant and short life,he puts forward many valuable theories,and leaves behind the precious cultural heritage to future generations.Among the numerous theories,the "Zone of Proximal Development" has been extensively and deeply explored by countries around the world.This theory has reinterpreted the relationship between teaching and development,and breaks the original teaching concept.Our country's ideological research on Lev Vygotsky theories starts relatively later than other countries,and strives to continuously put the “Zone of Proximal Development” theory into concrete practice,especially with micro-disciplinary teaching.Under the theory of Zone of Proximal Development,some teaching models have also been nurtured,among which there is Scaffolding Instruction.The author browses through a large amount of literature and finds that there has been fewer Zone of Proximal Development theories and Scaffolding Instruction combined with high school biology teaching,especially specific biological teaching examples.Therefore,the author hopes to implement the two in high school biology class through this article.The first part introduces the background of the Zone of Proximal Development theory;the purpose,significance and methods of the research;domestic and foreign research status.The second part is the content of the Zone of Proximal Development theory,including the "two levels","three areas" and dynamics of the transformation of the student's level during development;the content,types,sessions and advantages of Scaffolding Instruction.The third part is to optimize the path of "Molecular and Cell" teaching in high school biology by " Zone of Proximal Development" theory.The fourth part is the enlightenment of the Zone of Proximal Development theory to biology teaching practice.According to the results of tracing the first five chapters' teaching of "Molecules and Cells","Zone of Proximal Development" as the basis of the track teaching can not only improve classroom efficiency,but also help students to acquire knowledge and improve performance.Therefore,teachers should accurately measure the student's Zoneof Proximal Development.
