Modular Design Of Kitchen Based On The Demand Of Young Women

With the continuous development of society,people gradually shift their focus from solving the basic problem of food and clothing to living a healthy,green,and comfortable life.Kitchen,as a place to meet people's healthy diet,is constantly upgrading.In addition to fulfilling the basic cooking functions,in order to satisfy people's functional and emotional needs,the modern kitchen is also required to be high efficiency,high space utilization,energy saving,interesting,beautiful and comfortable.Influenced by the traditional concepts,people in the kitchen most are still women.Due to the unstable employment situation for urban young women aged from 25 to 35 and the increasing pressures on dwelling,small dwelling-size apartment become a top priority.However,the usable floor area of small dwelling-size apartment is limited,together with diverse kitchen functions and complex internal equipment,which make it very hard to realize the high efficiency effect without reasonable design planning.Besides that,the cooking process will also become dull and boring.From the aspects of physiology,psychology,life behavior,regarding small size kitchen system as a carrier,this paper analyzed young women' requirements for the use process,methods,and functional requirements of cooking facilities.From the aspects of functional factors,human factors as well as social and cultural factors,this paper explored the influence of kitchen modular design on the life behavior of young women.Based on the specification for residential kitchen industry and previous modular theory,we put modular design into the women kitchen design.Taking the actual demand into consideration,we try to further meet the individual needs of the target population.In this way can more young women choose to cook at home.The aims of this paper are to create the new kitchen system design ideas,and to provide some reference for the design of the female product and kitchen system.
