The competitive dragon boat is a type of endurance-based water-racing sports that is dominated by physical stamina.Physical stamina is the most basic competitive performance of athletes,and endurance is a key factor in determining the success of dragon boat competition.With the continuous development of science and technology,traditional physical stamina training of dragon boat can no longer meet the fierce competition requirements of modern competitive dragon boat.Therefore,new methods must be adopted in researches for the actual training of dragon boat sports.In the practice of dragon boat sports training,specific endurance training is an important method to improve the competitive ability and athletic performance of athletes,and the core element of the specific endurance of competitive dragon boat athletes lies in the special endurance of the upper limbs of the competitive dragon boat athletes.How to achieve the scientific and systematic process of the specific endurance training of the upper limbs is a major problem for coaches and athletes of competitive dragon boat sports currently.Based on this,this paper conducts the study on the training methods of upper limbs of competitive dragon boat athletes,analyzes the current situation and existing problems of the current specific endurance training of upper limbs of athletes,applies the advanced and effective training concepts and methods to the practice of specific endurance training of upper limbs,so as to optimize the persistence of the specific endurance of upper limbs of athletes and solve the problem of lack of strength in the latter stage in the competition,and to promote the sports performance.This paper mainly adopts literature research method,questionnaire survey,expert interview,testing,mathematical statistics,logical analysis and other research methods to study the current status of specific endurance training of upper limbs of competitive dragon boat athletes,finds out and analyzes the existing problems,and draws the following conclusions:1.At present,the specific training methods for the upper limbs of competitive dragon boatathletes are mainly the continuous training and the repeated training.The training methods are general endurance training with long distance,high intensity,and heavy load.The training methods are single,the professional level of the coaches is not high,and the training of specific endurance is ignored.In addition,athletes are faced with the problems of slow paddle speed,shallow draft,and weak strength in palm and wrist joint during the sailing phase and home stretch,which are the reasons for unsatisfactory athletic performance.2.Based on the sports training theory and the special characteristics of the competitive dragon boat,through a series of contrastive analysis of different training methods and means aiming at improving the specific endurance training of upper limbs of competitive dragon boat athletes,the training methods are divided into three categories,including upper limb strength endurance training,upper limb speed endurance training and upper limb aerobic endurance training.Among them,aerobic endurance is the basis for improving the specific endurance of the upper limbs,and strength endurance is the guarantee for the improvement of the specific endurance of the upper limbs,and speed endurance is the key to the improvement of specific endurance of the upper limbs,which are complementary and are indispensable.3.The strength endurance training of upper limbs of competitive dragon boat athletes is mainly to enhance the endurance of the upper limb muscles.The training load is determined according to the distance of the competition,and the intensity range is 25%-75%,and heart rate requirement is 160-175 times / minute.The strength endurance training exercises must be similar to the specific technical movement structure and characteristics of force exerting.The training means adopts weight-bearing paddling.For the problems of the grip of the palm and wrist joints during the athletes’ competition,and shallow-draft paddles,resistance bands,lifting rope and medicine ball can be used to perform functional training on upper limb muscle group.4.The speed endurance training of upper limbs is mainly to improve the ability of the athlete body to withstand the oxygen debt,the load intensity is 80%-90%,and heart rate requirement is 168-185 times /minute.As for the problem of low paddle speed in the sailing phase and home stretch,the short-term intensive training is mainly used,with the highfrequency of 10,20 and 30 paddles;supplemented by functional training,the vibrating arm,the strength rope,and the kettle-bell can be used to perform the upper limbs speed endurance.5.The aerobic endurance training of upper limbs is mainly to improve the ability of the athletes to transport oxygen,and the load intensity is 70%-80%,and heart rate requirement is155-168 times /minute.The aerobic metabolism is developed by the long training and continuous training during training.The training time is not less than 60 minutes.To practice mainly with the long-distance and constant-speed paddling of increase-adaptation-re-increase-re-adaptation,and complementary speed-shifting paddling.
