Research On The Function And Transformation Mechanism Of Farmers' Environmental Protest

Since the reform and opening up,with the deepening of social transformation,environmental problems are also increasing,especially in rural areas,environmental pollution problems are becoming increasingly prominent,so the phenomenon of environmental resistance of farmers also increased.In 1980s,especially since 90s,the farmers'environmental struggle phenomenon gradually by sociology,law,political science and other disciplines concern,become a hot topic in the academic,and in recent years,from the "early and medium-term strategy to" late "influence and change trend of governance.The purpose of this paper is to solve the problem of how to transform the peasants'environmental resistance function.Specifically,first of all,the case study method,the evolution process of non structured interviews and participant observation data collection method and process event analysis method on the northwest of Henan S village environmental protests were analyzed.The analysis shows that the evolution of potential resistance and extinction stage 4 stages in the rational regression brewing stage violent protests,leveraging the development stage of the struggle,the climax stage.Secondly,based on the analysis of events,from the view of Kose the functions of social conflict,reveals the negative effects of farmers' environmental resistance and constructive function.Finally,from the micro,meso and macro three levels to explore the transformation mechanism of farmers' environmental resistance function,in order to achieve the farmers' environmental struggle to reduce"negative" plus "positive",so as to avoid its negative effect to the greatest extent,and play its constructive function.Research shows that,although the farmers' environmental struggle as a social conflict environment,it will have a negative effect on farmers and village,governance and social order,but also will have a positive and constructive function on it,such as enhancing farmers'environmental awareness and environmental knowledge,play a role of safety valve mechanism and the reconstruction of community order,improve governance capacity etc..At the micro level by farmers from "to fight" to "resistance and local government",from"reaction" to "response" strategy transformation,the meso level of village cadres and farmers from "confrontation" to "cooperation",the local government and farmers from "learn" to"feedback" interaction between transformation.The macro level and establish channels of public expression and for the environment system construction smooth,transformation mechanism of the three aspects,to avoid the negative effects greatly and play its constructive function,so that farmers can eventually reach the ideal state environmental protest in an orderly and benefit of.
