Dance is the art of human movement and the embodiment of life.The human body is regarded as a tool for dancing,which takes exquisite,processed and beautified human body movement as an important means of expression and takes action,musical rhythm,and facial expression as a fundamental factor as well as uses clothes,makeup,lights,props,and scenery as a means of assistance.Thus dance clearly reflects people's different ideas,beliefs and aesthetic requirements and expresses people's thoughts and feelings and reflects a comprehensive art of social life.So far,the dance has thrived at an immeasurable rate.Taking dance as a kind of practical activity to satisfy the spiritual needs of the people is a phenomenon of social art and culture,which always accompanies the people's life.Hence we can see that dance education occupies an important position and influence in art education.The age limit for the children's version of the personality test scale is from 7 to 15 years old,the interval which is primary school year and junior high school exactly.So there is no investigation of high school students in this paper.The main research object is primary and middle school students from grade one to grade nine and the main content is how does social dance education affect the personality of this age stage.This paper will discuss from the perspective of the development of the personality of the primary and middle school students and start with the subject of related content.And then this paper will link the related theory with the social practice and in the end give some conclusions about the relationship between dance education and personality development.The article is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.In the introduction,the author discusses the research background,the theoretical and practical significance of the research,the research ideas and the research methods.In the first chapter,the relationship between dance education and aesthetic education,the status of dance education in primary and secondary school quality education,the concept of personality and healthy personality,personality formation and development of elementary and middle school students and other factors.In the second chapter,with the help of literature,questionnaire,interview,mathematical statistics and field investigation,the author takes the students of four primary and secondary schools in Qian'an,Hebei Province as the research object,providing a reference for the paper.In the third chapter,based on the above investigation and analysis as well as by collating questionnaire survey and regulating EPQ_C scale,the author gives a conclusion on the effect of social dance education on the personality development of primary and middle school students.In the fourth chapter,the author puts forward the corresponding suggestions according to the results of the investigation and research.In the current society,people whoever will be faced with a variety of pressures.For example,students face the pressure of the entrance examination and the workers are under pressure to finish their work and so on.To get a healthy personality,we should seize the critical period of personality development in primary and secondary schools.With the help of effective methods,eventually,we are able to help these student to optimize and perfect their personality.
