In the field of educational academic research,"sex and education" is one of the hottest topics in the study.China attaches great importance to issues of gender and education.In the Outline for the Development of Women and Children in China(2011),said clearly: When changing the school curriculum,educational content,and teaching methods,the necessary gender equality should be added to the teacher’s training content.awareness.At the same time,new curriculum standards in primary and secondary schools requires that education should be“face to all students”.To be honest,if we really want to achieve "face to all students" education,we must pay attention to students’ gender differences in teaching.Research on gender differences in learning styles and academic performance has achieved some breakthroughs.However,the current research on gender differences in junior high school in English learning is not perfect.Therefore,this article attempts to examine and analyze the gender differences between junior high school students’ English learning from the perspective of gender differences.This article on the "sex differences in junior high school students’ English learning and countermeasures" includes five parts:The first part mainly expounds the reasons for the topic selection and the significance of the research,and defines the relevant core concepts.A review was made of the research in China and abroad,includes gender differences in students;student gender differences and teaching research;student gender differences and English learning.The second part is mainly introduce the relevant theoretical basis and the enlightenment to this research.Mainly includes biology,psychology(social learning theory;certification development theory;gender schema theory),pedagogy(teaching students in accordance with their aptitude;difference teaching theory)three areas.In addition,the second language acquisition theory is also elaborated.The third part is the description of junior high school students’ specific stage,students’ psychological characteristics and learning characteristics.The groups studied in this paper are junior high school students.Their psychological performance is usually: the emergence of a rebellious period,the extreme desire for recognition of others,the increase of independent consciousness,and the more active thinking.The contents and methods of English learning at this stage,students’ learning ability and attitude also show many characteristics different fromother stages.The fourth part is the investigation and analysis of junior middle school students’ gender differences in English learning.First of all,through the exchange of information with the first-line teachers to obtain student learning related information,and then perform statistical analysis of students’ test results.Finally,based on a questionnaire survey of nearly 900 students randomly selected from the city of Shenyang,SPSS software was used to process the data and analyzed the gender differences in junior high school students’ learning attitudes,learning abilities,and learning motivations.The fifth part is mainly to give the "behavior education" strategy to deal with gender differences.Teachers should establish a correct awareness of gender differences;create a gender equality teaching environment for students;choose reasonable differences in teaching strategies based on differences in students’ attitudes to learning;and improve teaching evaluation on gender differences.
