During the new curriculum reform of our country,it is strongly advocated that teaching should be people-oriented,promoting the all-round development of students,especially pay attention to the development of ability and creativity.High school biology curriculum is an important way for middle school students to understand nature and man themselves,to learn natural science knowledge and to cultivate their abilities.Therefore,it is necessary to properly carry out inquiry teaching in this course to cultivate students' scientific inquiry spirit and skills.Our school actively implements the new curriculum reform plan.In order to improve the teaching efficiency of biology course in senior high school and the quality of cultivating talents,we have carried out a lot of research on the application of inquiry teaching method and studied the characteristics of inquiry teaching method.On the basis of analyzing which teaching contents of middle school biology textbooks are suitable to use inquiry method,we design the corresponding teaching plan and carry on the experiment research with contrast experiment method.Then the experiment results are compared and analyzed,and some cases of adopting different inquiry teaching methods for different teaching contents are summarized,and six implementing strategies of implanting inquiry teaching method into biology teaching in senior high school are put forward.It provides some useful reference for improving the teaching quality of biology in middle school,and also adds fresh content to the research of rich inquiry teaching method.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part,according to the research background of inquiry teaching and the current research situation at home and abroad,puts forward the research purpose and significance of implanting inquiry teaching method into high school students' teaching,and expounds the research method of this subject.The second part,on the basis of collecting and analyzing the relevant data,summarizes the connotation of inquiry teaching,the characteristics of inquiry teaching,and introduces the theoretical basis of adopting inquiry teaching in biology teaching in senior high school: cognitive learning theory.Constructivism theory,subjective education theory,meaningful learning theory.The third part lists six kinds of research cases of high school biology inquiry teaching method in detail.It includes experimental,scientific history,model construction,hypothesis deduction,survey and data inquiry teaching,and lists six teaching materials suitable for inquiry teaching.In the fourth part,the author applies the inquiry teaching to the practice,carries on the experiment to the experimental class and the control class respectively by the inquiry type and the traditional teaching method,and carries on the analysis to the experiment result.It is proved that inquiry teaching can improve students' interest in learning biological science,improve students' inquiry ability and innovative spirit,and then improve students' achievement.The fifth part,on the basis of the theoretical and practical research on inquiry teaching,summarizes the six implementing strategies of inquiry teaching in teaching practice.In the sixth part,the author summarizes that the implementation of inquiry teaching can help students to learn biological knowledge and skills more effectively,cultivate their scientific inquiry ability and scientific spirit,and look forward to the future research direction.
