Fellow Villagers And Construction Of Informal Production Regime In Construction Site

The problem of peasant workers as a basic problem in the transforming Chinese society has received great attention from academics.With the advancement of urbanization wave,the rapid expansion of urban space,construction industry suddenly become a pillar industry of the national economy.The prosperity of the construction industry has also highlighted the problems that have arisen in the industry,the work and living conditions,the informal system of employment,and the living conditions of peasant workers.Some studys,which follow the development path of western labor process theory and the practice of local characteristics,provide a great reference and thinking value for us to explore the special factory system of construction industry in China.Therefore,this article taking X engineering team as a case study,with the help of labor process theory,the use of participant observation method and in-depth interview in the construction site launched a one and half months field investigation,with a view from the history of the X engineering team to explain the construction site,and from the X engineering team in the construction site in the specific labor process to explore its internal and external control and resistance model,and then grasp a team from the workplace into the field before entering the workplace,and then to leaving the work field of the specific operational logic,which points out that the piece work system in the construction site,in fact,is peasant workers from the bottom building an informal production regime,rather than the national system level of an arrangement.
