The phenomenon of yaoi fan is a kind of new subculture phenomenon.The group of young women,with the spirit of entertainment and resistance,whose hobbies are appreciating and creating novels,comic books and radio drama,are willing to get together and establish the corresponding cultural communities and groups on the network platform.It is still a new thing for most people,our academia has not paid enough attention to the phenomenon of yaoi fan.A lot of people have misunderstanding on the existence of yaoi fan,even worse,they have prejudice against this group.Therefore,through objectively analyzing the phenomenon of yaoi fan,this paper hopes to let people know its expression,learn its causes,and realize its positive and negative effects.Through the analysis of relevant literatures,combined with the social role theory,this paper analyzes the background of the yaoi fan phenomenon.In addition,using the method of questionnaire and in-depth interviews to collect data,and based on analysis of data,this paper studies the development status of the yaoi fan phenomenon.The study finds that the phenomenon of yaoi fan is very common on the network,especially more and more young people are joining them.The reasons are mainly manifested in two aspects: one is yaoi fan don't agree with their gender,as a result they dream of the male world,in other words,it is not only the will to escape from the role of women,but also the desire for male characters;on the other hand,it is the release of their own bodies desire,in any description of barefaced sex between men in their reading process,to release their pent-up body desire.The society should give more understanding and guidance to the yaoi fan phenomenon so that it can have a better development.
