If the country wants to develop the economic,it must firstly develop the education.Under the background of globalization,the reform of education is imperative.Since ancient times,primary and secondary education,for a country and the whole world,are basic,universal and lasting driving force for the social development.Whether in western countries,or Japan,which belongs to the Asian cultural circle as us,special attention has been paid to the development of primary and secondary education.In the 21 st century,with the blow of knowledge economy and the continuous decline of primary and secondary school students’ learning ability,Japan conducted the compulsory education reform and implemented coherent nine-year school education system.For the development of compulsory education in China,it is the best choice to explore the reform of Japan’s coherent nine-year school education system and to examine China’s coherent nine-year school education system.The main research method of this thesis is the combination of literature research method,comparative research method,factor analysis method and case study method.The source of research,research purpose,research significance,domestic and foreign research review,research innovation and difficulty,and the definition of related concepts in the introduction laid a solid foundation for the research.Based on the detailed analysis of the cause of the reform of coherent nine-year school system in Japan,the research divided it into three stages: start,promote and perfect.Combined with the case analysis of Tokyo,Shinagawa,Aomori three household areas,an in-depth inquiry of the reform measures of coherent nine-year school system in Japan is conducted.At the same time,three characteristics of the reform of coherent nine-year school system in Japan are summed up.For example,curriculum development and implementation has continuity and stages;the reform pays attention to the difference of students’ physical and mental development;it is promoted from point to plane,from local to the whole.According to the investigation and evidence,this thesis summed up the achievements of the coherent nine-year school system reformation.For example,the awareness of teachers and students has greatly changed;the “First grade gap” phenomenon has been effectively alleviate;Students’ learning ability has been greatly enhanced.This reformation has adapted to students’ all-round development and relieved the pressure brought by education.At the same time,it points out some problems existing in the process of reform,such as the advance of teaching content,the increase of management difficulty,the aggravation of financial problems,the challenge of educational equity and the pressure of teachers.According to general situation of the reformation of coherent nine-year school system in China,some suggestions have been concluded at the end of this thesis.For example,the division of curriculum stage should be reasonable;curriculum development should focus on the overall coherence;the individual differences of students and local characteristics should be paid attention;the relevant laws and regulations should be revised;the demonstration area of compulsory education school should be established;independent learning guide program should be developed,etc.All of these enlightenments provide a reference for the development of coherent nine-year school education system in China.
