With the development of the society and the development of science and technology,the demand for the comprehensive development of talents is increasing day by day.Teaching activities in schools play an important role in the education system of a country.The improvement of the school teaching depends on the reflection of the teaching quality.At present,all countries in the world are emphasizing the quality of basic education,organizing and carrying out teaching quality evaluation projects,especially teaching quality of mathematics and science.Under this background,China’s Ministry of education set up a basic teaching quality in monitoring center,and promote the establishment of teaching quality monitoring center at provincial level,to carry out the provincial teaching quality evaluation project to improve our teaching quality.In order to improve the quality of teaching in ethnic minority areas,the National Education Department have pointed out that the living environment,religious beliefs,customs and other factors in ethnic areas have an impact on the quality of teaching in ethnic areas.When compared with the high level of regional economic development areas,there is a big gap in the level of the teachers and students’ learning situation,teaching equipment in minority areas.So we need to actively promote the quality of teaching evaluation project in ethnic regions,especially the science teaching quality,to improve the teaching quality in minority areas.From the existing research results,the study of junior high school physics teaching quality in minority areas is less,Therefore,this study attempts to research the middle school physics teaching quality evaluation tools in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture,to improve the quality of teaching and provide a reference for the follow-up study.This study has two parts,the specific research contents and conclusions are as follows:Study one: the development of the middle school physics teaching quality evaluation tool in Yi areas.The middle school physics teaching quality assessment tool in Yi areas contains test questions part and the questionnaire on the factors affecting teaching quality.On the basis of the international teaching quality evaluation projects’ experience,combining with China’s middle school physics curriculum standards,the ethnic culture and the particularity of self natural resources,constructing the physics teaching quality questions and the influence factor questionnaire in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture by consulting experts.The teaching quality evaluation questions contain four dimensions,core concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry,scientific attitude and responsibility;the factors affecting the quality of teaching questionnaire contains five dimensions,student factors,family factors,school factors,social factors,ethnic areas by design.Testing the tool by using it in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture.Study two: The evaluation results of middle school physics teaching quality in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture.The study select three evaluation objects according to the population of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture accounted for the proportion of the total population of the local and the physics examination results at senior high school entrance examination,they are Xide county middle school,a middle school in Huili,a middle school in Xichang City.Using the teaching quality assessment tool in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture,we issued a total of 410 student questionnaires and the recovery of 402 copies,323 copies of valid questionnaires,the questionnaire response rate was 80.35%,issued 15 teacher questionnaires,15 were recovered,15 effective questionnaires,the efficiency rate was 100%.Evaluation involves the Han,Yi,Hui,Tibetan,most of the students’ nationality are Han and Yi.The survey result shows that the scores of junior high school physics teaching quality assessment in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture are low in general.Students who scored 0-3 points accounted for 28.4% of the total,students who scored 4-7 points accounted for 50.5% of the total,students who scored 8-11 points accounted for 20.1% of the total,students who scored 12 points and above accounted for 1.2% of the total;The students’ learning confidence,learning attitude,learning interest,learning motivation,attitude of parents,teaching methods,teaching attitude,communication between teachers and students,school facilities and students at areas of environmental resources have a significant impact on the middle school physics teaching quality.According to the above research results,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for the middle school physics teaching in Liangshan Yi Autonomous prefecture,1 Students need to strengthen the core concept of physics learning,improve learning interest,and communicate more with teachers;2 Parents should often communicate with their children,support and encourage students to learn physics;3 Teachers should maintain good teaching and actively explore teaching methods,communicate more with students;in physics teaching,teachers need to quote more cases which are relating to students’ life,help students combine knowledge with their own life,increase students’ interest in learning;at the same time,teachers should strengthen the cultivation of students’ scientific thinking experiment and inquiry ability in the teaching;4 In order to make teachers and students better to conduct experimental research,schools need to improve the teaching equipment;schools need to organize appropriate training to improve the teaching level of teachers;5 Governments should organize personnel to develop local curriculum resources,special religious particularity;when evaluate the teaching quality in ethic areas,special considerations need to be considered such as language and the local life.In this study,we had evaluated the middle school physics teaching quality in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture,the results has a certain reference value for expanding study.In the follow-up study,in order to comprehensively investigate the local teaching quality,and put forward more specific and effective suggestions for improvement,we need to increase the sample and the subject.
