Since the 1980 s,throughout sports history,it can be easily find out that traditional sports is difficult to satisfy people.Therefore,many new types of sports emerged like “shock wave”against traditiontal sports,such as Leisure sports,ecology sports and outdoor sports.River Trekking,as an independent outdoor activity,is attracting a growing numer of outdoor lovers.This article,mainly dealing with the development of River Trekking in Guizhou province,discusses and reveals its advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges.Meanwhile,The National River Trekking Competition in Lenshui River of jinsha county,Bijie city is taken as an example,in order to study the feasibility of develop River Trekking in Guizhou province.Conclusions:1.Through theoretical analysis and document demonstration,it ’ s feasible that developing river trekking in Guizhou province.Although the development is still in the primary stage,the future is inestimable.2.With the support of government,guarantee of policies,stability of socioty,development of sports industry,improvement of national culture soft power,reformation ofpeople’s lifestyle,change of people’s values towards sports,great upsurge of outdoor leisure activities as well as advantages of territory and terrain,natural ecology and national customs.These conditions provide devolopment of river trekking in Guizohu province with great opportunities.3.Some difficulties and deficiencies exsit in terms of developing river trekking in Guizhou Province.For example,backward economy,shortage of professional talents,weakness of security resposibility and lag of consciousness.People has less knowledge about river trekking and the proficiency is limitid.The incompletion of management system and infrastructures,inadequate supply of market and disorder rescue system.These may cause potential security risks.However,difficulties and deficiencies will be improved and solved as the development of river trekking.4.According to the survey of national river trekking in Lenshui tiver of jinsha and analysis,the gender of participants in this competition shows a slightly difference,there are more male participants than female.And they are mainly between the age of 26 and 35.The majority of them are graduated from college or university.The occupation of participants are maily student,techinicist and officials.Even though participants possess limited skills and professional knowledge,80.49% of them rate the likability of river trekking beyond like.To learn the professional skills of river trekking,they mainly by means of media,internet,publicity and join club.The form of particition is“small-scale,muti-mode,self-organized”.The expenditure yearly of participants that under 1000 yuan is in the majority,account for 75.61%.The time for participation that within 3years is up to 91.46%.5.Develop river trekking is able to meet the requirement of modern people to adapt to the socioty,so that achieve mentally self-liberated and physiologically self-satisfied.According to survey the example and analysis.The participation motivation of participants is as follow(sorted from most to least in the light of proportion): cultivate competitive spirit,strengthen self-confidence,self-challenge and personality shaping,make new friends and expand circle of friends and relieve stress and relax.Recommendations:1.Speed up economic development of Guizhou province,increase the number of participants in river trekking.2.Strengthen publicity means and modes of river trekking andcreates brand competitions.3.Integrate natural resources advantages of Guizhou,develop exquisit routes for river trekking.4.Establish competition progams,integrate outdoor race IP.5.Set up machanism of emergency rescue,strengthen security of river trekking.6.Enrich cultural connotations of river trekking,infuse with local cultural characteristics.7.Enhance cooperation between schools and enterprises and specialized personnel training.8.Build and perfect infrastructure of river trekking routes,optimize mechanism of organization and management.9.Motivate cooperation with professional sports event to boost event level of river trekking.
