Research On The Management Of College Students' Mental Health Education Based On The Perspective Of Government Function

Contemporary college students are the hope and future of a nation.They have the important historic task of rejuvenating China through participating in international competition in the near future.A good character including positive personality,self-esteem,self-respect,self-discipline,self-improvement and resistance is fundamental for college students.Our country is in the key period of improving the socialist market economy,and accomplishing the strategic goal of socialist modernization.Therefore social competition is becoming increasingly fierce,and some college students are facing severe challenges including personal development and physical and mental changes under the effect of social and cultural factors.As a result of pressure and frustration,psychological imbalance is becoming evident.Therefore,college students' mental health education has become an indispensable part of college education.Mental health education,as an important part of higher education management,plays an important role in promoting the healthy growth of College students.Although colleges and universities have been conducting psychological tests on students' psychological status;carrying out psychological counseling activities based on analysis and study;guiding students to develop their psychological quality through training,but the unilateral effort is not enough.Universities still need to cooperate and coordinate with the other social systems and make full use of the government's public functions.This study analyses government functions based on public relations theory.It includes a detailed analysis of theories of government functions and public service functions.Psychological health education is positioned as a public service and its functionality is carefully analyzed in this study.Moreover,the change of government functions in China under the background of the management of college students' mental health education and the development of college students' psychological health education face several problems.Thirdly,government should make full use of its public service functions to improve and perfect the management of College Students' psychological health education.It aims at solving existing problems and put forward the corresponding countermeasures,in order to promote the government's public service in this area,and to ensure the smooth progress of mental health education,and improve the effectiveness of college students' psychological health education.
