Owing to the influence of teachers' specialization theory,the university-orientation of teacher education has become an inevitable trend.Teacher training is increasingly incorporated into the higher education system and higher schools undertake the important task of the pre-service teacher training.Teacher education is an important part of a country's education development.In general,with the social progress and development of political economy,teacher education will have corresponding change.How to construct the teacher education models,there are some rules must follow: Firstly,to meet the talent demand of the national actual economic and social development;Secondly,to accords with the reality of the national and region's development and make full use of it;to follow the law of development of teacher education itself.Nowadays,the progress of teacher education model in China is in a critical period of reform and development,which is that the teachers' cultivation transits from a unified model to the diversified modes.At present,to know the development of teacher education model in higher schools in Yunnan province,the problems in them and the future development road,will be discussed in this study.This study is divided into three parts: First,on the basis of theory-building of teacher education models within the study of teacher education model in Yunnan higher schools.According to the number of colleges and universities in Yunnan province for the teacher certification and relying on the teachers' education Federation which was composed of colleges and universities in Yunnan Province,we can have a general knowledge of the present situation of College Teachers' Education in Yunnan Province,and draw general conclusionsThen based on the present situation of Yunnan higher schools participating in the teacher training,to analyze the characteristics of the current teacher education models in Yunnan province from the main subjects of implementation(teacher education models of normal universities and comprehensive universities);Finally,bycomparing and analyzing the theory with reality,to find out the problems existing in the teacher education models in Yunnan higher schools and to come up with some suggestions and thoughts to contribute to its development so as to guide the direction of further reform and improvement of the education modes.Although so many colleges and universities in Yunnan province are involved in this study and the difficulties to carry out it,it is worth making this study to know the characteristics and problems so that corresponding suggestions put forward can make a great difference the teacher education models' future development of of Yunnan higher schools.
