This study conducted a questionnaire survey by the fourth to the sixth grade students of a rural boarding primary school,in order to survey the mental health status of pupils in rural boarding school.The number of valid questionnaires is 189.Through the questionnaire data analysis finds that the number of the Children's Depression Inventory(CDI)score more than 19 points is 62,accounting 32.8% in the total number of surveys.The proportion of the depressive symptom is high.The total scores of the scale have no significant difference in gender,whether or not the only child.The fourth grade in the Children's Depression Inventory scores is significantly higher than the five grade and the sixth grade(F=4.04,P<0.05).In the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale,the fifth grade scores are significantly higher than the sixth grade(F=2.29,P<0.05).On the left-behind variables,the scores of the left-behind children on the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale were significantly lower than those of the non left-behind children(t=-2.39,P<0.05).At the same time,Through 2*2 experimental design to test the effect of positive psychology group activity course,using the theory and practice of positive psychology into the classroom teaching,on improving the rural boarding school pupils' mental health.The experimental group 62 persons,and the control group 62.The implementation of the five week course of experimental group,the control group was not.We collected the Children's Depression Inventory,Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale and Positive and Negative Affect Scale data from the experimental group and control group in the before and after the experiment.The group counseling of positive psychology activity course based on positive psychology theory of "PERMA",carried out in the form of the combination of static and dynamic way,paying attention to the experience and thinking of the students.The positive psychological group counseling course conducted in two classes at fifth grade.Each subject contains two periods,totaling five themes.Every week teach one theme.Analysis of Repeated Measures ANOVA found: The positive psychological group counseling course can effectivelyimprove the subjects of positive emotion experience,but don't significantly change the Children's Depression Inventory and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale scores.The effectiveness of the courses design by self needs further study.Finally,through the investigation of the rural school mental health education work,to know the rural boarding primary school mental health education.According to the actual situation of the rural boarding school puts forward some feasible suggestions with positive psychology connotation.
