Chemistry olympiad is a very important way to dig out and cultivate the innovative talents.Throughout the senior high school period,students can not only improve their subject attainment in chemistry,but also develop their subject ability,which are from theoretical research ability to experimental practical ability,from information reading ability to information organizing and application ability,and from imitation ability to innovation ability,via the training of Chemistry olympiad.Therefore,the cultivation of students' ability in Chemistry olympiad is a significant project.This thesis specially investigate and practically research on students' reasoning ability in the high school Chemistry olympiad.This thesis will analyse the the importance of reasoning ability in the Chemistry olympiad,through the research on the Chemistry olympiad examinations in recent years.At the same time,combined with literature searching,the thesis will also analyse the key elements of the reasoning ability's cultivation,and practice the cultivation methods which the author has performed in the chemistry competition in his school.And the research and practice of the thesis are through many different ways,such as investigation on literature,forum with competition coaches,questionnaire survey,practice of competition course,the inquiry of students and so on.The main subjects of the research are high school students in Guangxi Province,with the purpose of through the thesis,theoretically guiding the cultivation of students' reasoning ability,making the training of Chemistry olympiad more purposeful and fruitful,and letting the students get a better education.This thesis contain the following six parts:Part one:Understanding the background and the current state of the research.Part two:Introduction of the aim,context and means of the research.Part three:Elaboration and definition of the concept of the research.Part four:Investigate of the current state and analysis of the reason of high school students' Chemistry olympiad reasoning ability.Part five:Strategy and practice of the improvement of high school students'Chemistry olympiad reasoning abilityPart six:Introspection and summary of the research,and perspective of the future.The theoretical and guiding significance of the thesis lies in the research and practice on students' reasoning ability in their the competition training in high school.
