Peer assessment is a kind of learning method in which learners correct their homework mutually. In this process, the student is a reviewer and an author at the same time. Research results indicate that this form of correction can inspire and motivate learners in learning and will ultimately improve their learning quality. This method facilitates the transformation of classroom from "teaching-centered" to"learning-centered" which eventually keeping the dominant position of learners in classroom and achieving the goal of "returning the classroom to students".This thesis includes: first, building a peer assessment model under the condition of informatization; second, exploring the influence of this model on "learning of the students" and "teaching of teachers" and at the same time accepting suggestions from both teachers and students. This model is applied to the writing teaching of English of junior one and the its main content includes four aspects: (1) exploring actual effect of the model on students; (2) exploring the influence of this model on comprehensive writing ability of students; (3) revealing the impact of this model on the academic performance of students; (4) giving some feedback and advice to the teaching activities.Contrast experiment method is adopted to train the control group and experimental group in different ways where the control group uses the method of"teacher reviewing" and the experimental group the method of "peer assessment". The whole experimental process experiences pre-experiment test, pre-questionnaire test,post-experiment test, post- questionnaire test and interview. The software spss19.0 for statistical analysis is used to analyze experimental data both in horizontal and vertical dimensions. Results show that all tested students agree with the opinion that "peer assessment" can improve their English writing which indicates that "peer assessment"can play a completely equivalent role as teacher correcting. 89.31% of amendments put forward by students are reasonable opinions and 85.53% of the opinions are correctly used for model improvement, which verifies the conclusion that students have obtained the ability to effectively evaluate the quality of English writing of partners. The results of interviewing show that active classroom atmosphere, active learning among students as well as their attitudes towards English writing are all to the good. This conclusion also Confirm the authenticity of the results of other researchers. It’s worth noting that,due to the reason that discipline and time in classroom will affect the results of "peer assessment", teachers are necessary to play roles as directors and supervisors in classroom in the process of "peer assessment".Therefore, introducing peer assessment to English teaching makes students have the chance to evaluate and discuss their essays mutually, which promotes "learning of the students" and "teaching of teachers" positively. |
