A Study Of The Functional Role Of Zhuang's Fine Culture In Ideological And Political Education

This thesis studies the functional role of traditional Zhuang Culture in ideological and political education.Started from troditonal Zhuang culture,the thesis summerizes Zhuang culture and discuss its history and characteristics,revealing the importance of traditional culture.Culture arises when humans strive to survive and fit in social environment,while traditional culture is the historical accumulation of culture.Besides,culture is also the external symbol which can be used to differentiate nationalities,the foundation of mutual acceptence and understanding within a nationality,and the vital source by which a nationality survives and develops.With the rapid development of today's society and economics,culture is playing a more and more important role,and therefore is called “soft power”.Commonly,scholars regard troditional culture as national culture which comes from a certain civilization's evolution,reflecting the characteristics and spirituality of that nationality.It also represents all kinds of ideologies in the history of a nationality.Studying traditional culture could give us a deeper understanding of the meaning of a nationality's culture,and by taking the best from it would enable us to inherit and carry forward our splendid traditions.Moreover,by combining the ethics and ideology within Zhuang's traditional culture with today's ideological and political education,this thesis provides a new way for the development of ideological and political education in Zhuang autonomous region.Ideological and political education is a kind of social practice,which,by using ideology,political views and moral codes to intentionally influence members of some social group and thus the group members' behavior is in accordance with social ethical requirements.It is also the core content of moral and ideological development of China as well as an important way to solve social problems and conflicts.The Zhuang Nationality,during its long-term social life and development,has formed its own rich ethical and moral thinking,moral practices,as well as amoral tradition with its own characteristics.As a traditional culture of special social awareness,it plays an important role in the social and historical development of Zhuang,and it also plays a very important social function in strengthening the national cohesion,maintaining the unification of China,keeping the social and economic development of Zhuang,and remaining the stability and good social order in the Zhuang autonomous region.It can be considered that the traditional culture of the Zhuang has been formed and developed in the long-term social production and living practice of the Zhuang people and their ancestors.It covers abundant content,such as the marriage and family morality,public life morality,economic and political ethics as well as moral cultivation and education.Such culture is embodied in the Zhuang folk literature,traditional art,traditional customs and festivals and other cultural forms.Therefore,the traditional culture of Zhuang bears rich resources for ideological and political education.Making good use of such resources can assist the schools in the Zhuang Region in implementing ideological and political education to contemporary Zhuang adolescents.The outstanding traditional culture of the Zhuang people has a unique status and irreplaceable role in the cultivation of healthy personality,the promotion of ideology and morality,the formation of patriotic sentiments and the all-around development of today's young people in the Zhuang region.At present,there is much study data about Zhuang in China,which has become an independent discipline.The study on the traditional culture of Zhuang is not unusual either.But the vast majority of these studies are confined to the traditional culture of Zhuang,and very little is linking to its ideological and political education.This paper tries to discuss the link between the nationality's traditional culture and contemporary ideological and political education by starting from the traditional culture of Zhuang and by combining the current social and ideological backgrounds,sums up the ideological and political education resources contained in this traditional culture,and analyzes its function and practical applications,so as to provide learning materials for the ideological cultivation work to the contemporary Zhuang adolescents,with a view to promote their healthy growth,which is exactly the purpose of this thesis.
