The Enlightenment Of Traditional Private School Teaching To The Ancient Chinese Poems Teaching In Primary School

As stipulated in the Guidelines for Enhancing the Education of Outstanding Traditional Chinese Culture,Chinese language teaching in the primary school should promote the education of outstanding Chinese traditional culture in phases.In the lower grades of the primary school,the focus is to cultivate students' warm feelings about the fine traditional Chinese culture;and in upper grades,the focus is to improve students' sensibility to the fine traditional Chinese culture.Ancient poetry as an important carrier of traditional Chinese culture education plays an undeniable part.Starting from the present situation of classic Chinese poetry teaching in the primary school,this paper summarizes the noteworthy teaching outcomes of Chinese teaching in old-style private schools and proposes several specific and practical recommendations for the contemporary teaching of classic Chinese poetry in primary schools.To address the research problem,the author selected some teachers and students from four primary schools in Haikou and Wuxi.Data were collected questionnaires,interviews,and classroom observations.To understand and analyze the current situation in classic Chinese poetry teaching in primary schools,the researcher focused on “the teaching methods of traditional Chinese private schools” and “the implications of this traditional teaching method”.In order to identify theoretic principles for approaching the contemporary teaching problems of classic Chinese poetry in primary schools,I explore the outstanding traditional teaching outcomes along five dimensions including teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching methods,teachers' skills,and teaching evaluation.Teaching method is not constant,we can make the past serve the present.By using the effective model of Chinese old-style private school for reference and applying it in the contemporary class of ancient poetry in primary school,I hope that we can not only keep the“classic beauty” and the “lingering charm”,and also let the students feel the poetic sense of ancient poetry.
