Abstract/Summary:
This paper’s main body is the research report.Through a large amount of research and statistics,the author found out the extra-curricular reading situation of Hengnan No.1 Middle School students to provide reference for the reading teaching of rural senior high students’ reading teaching and the extra-curricular reading situation of the national rural senior high students in the Internet era.This paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter I displays the extra-curricular reading situation of senior high students of Hengnan No.l Middle School.This chapter is mainly divided into two sections.The first section includes the research designing and the preparation work for the research;the second section is the report of analyzing the researching results,which is carried out from five aspects orderly:students’ reading interests,reading time,reading contents,reading contents,reading conditions and reading motivations.This research results are the core and basis of this paper.They are also the foundation and basis of the following paper.Targeting at the research report in Chapter I,Chapter Two analyzes several problems that exist in the extra-curricular reading of senior high students of Hengnan No.1 Middle School,for example,the time of reading is limited;the scope of reading is narrow;the condition of reading is bad.Chapter III analyzes the reasons why such problems occurred in the extra-curricula reading of senior high students in Hengnan No.l Middle School,which includes the reasons from the educational system,schools and teachers,the influences of traditional concepts and also the shock of the mass media.Chapter IV includes suggestions for improving the current situation of rural senior high students’extra-curricular reading.The author hopes that the school,teachers,parents and even the whole society can change their opinions and update concepts.In whichever educational context,appropriate and beneficial extra-curricula reading is helpful to students’ learning and growth.Secondly,in the current era when the Internet is filled with both bad and good reading materials and the literary&artistic commercialization prevails,teachers should enhance the leading of students’ extra-curricular reading and provide more excellent extra-curricula reading resources for students.Of course,students also need to improve their reading identifying abilities and read good books.
