The rapid development of information technology has gradually changed production mode and the way of life, and also promoted the change of educational ideas, educational concepts and educational methods. High school geography is a course with strong comprehensive nature, which contains human geography and physical geography, and the knowledge points are abstract and fragmented. At present, most teachers use PPT and other multimedia software to assist teaching, but limited by the function of the software itself, these software cannot meet the actual needs of high school geography teaching.Focusky, an animation presentation software, not only has the basic features of common presentation software, but also owns functions such as rendering 3D animation,zooming pictures unlimited, showing the overall and local details. With the advantages of intuitive display and automatic scaling, not only attract the attention of students, it can help improve class efficiency and develop students' independent innovation and exploration ability. However, current research on the application of Focusky in high school geography teaching is very few. At present, there is no answer to how to use in the high school geography teaching and what is the teaching results and efficiency.Based on the problems above and the actual needs of multimedia educational software in high school geography teaching, we will put Focusky software into high school geography classroom practice, and do comparative experimental study to determine its impact on the teaching effect at the same time. The main research contents are as follows:This paper analyzes the teaching methods in information technology environment and the application of Focusky software in China, and introduces the main theoretical basis and research methods.Under the request of the new curriculum standard and the psychological cognition characteristics of senior high school students, this paper analyzes the demand of Focusky software in high school geography teaching, then takes the lesson of "crustal material composition and material circulation" as an example to do teaching design and teaching reflection. This paper also make teaching courseware based on Focusky.The teaching effect comparison experiment is designed and carried out, which comprises the experimental object, experimental steps, research variables, the control of experimental factors, questionnaires and interviews and other aspects. The data and related information in the teaching experiment are collected, and the experimental results are analyzed based on these data.This paper shows that Focusky software can improve the effect of high school geography teaching, which can significantly improve the map ability and spatial geography ability of high school students. The research ideas and research methods of this research can be used for reference in carrying out similar research.
