Research On Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Children’s Tennis In Zhengzhou

Recent years,with the constant breakthrough of China women’s tennis achievements,China is experiencing a tennis hot trend.More and more children are involved in tennis sports.As it turns out,it is of great significance to develop children’s tennis sports and cultivating of backup talent in China.Zhengzhou city has great economic strength which lays a solid foundation for the development of children’s tennis sport.By using the methods of documentary,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics and logical analysis,this paper gives an analysis to the current situation of the development of children’s tennis sport in Zhengzhou.And also puts forward some development strategies for children’s tennis sport wishing to promote the development of children’s tennis sport in Zhengzhou.The results of the study are as follows:(1)the number of children who take tennis sports and the number of tennis coach are keeping increasing which indicate that children’s tennis sport develops fast recent years in Zhengzhou.(2)The main forms of children’s tennis sport in Zhengzhou are clubs run by social forces and training agencies and other forms as complementary.(3)The children participating in tennis sports in Zhengzhou show a slight gender imbalance of more boys than girls.Most of the children do tennis sports three times or even more.And most of the children have taken tennis sports for less than three years.The main purposes for children to take tennis sports are for hobby or for health.More than half of children have taken part in tennis competition.(4)The monthly income of these children’s family mostly are from 5000 to 10000 RMB.Though the parents don’t know too much about tennis sports,they still have great interests.So they support their children’s tennis sports.The motivation for their favors of tennis sports firstly is exercising and secondly is to satisfy their children’s hobby.(5)The tennis coaches are relatively young and are mainly males.And most of the coaches are of bachelor degree.They have relatively short coaching years,and weak athletic ability.Most of them adopt scientific training ways but the methods still lack variations.(6)Although there is an increase of children’s tennis competitions in Zhengzhou,the lack of lower-level events is obvious.So most of the children haven’t taken part in competitions because of the strict standards of high-level competitions.
