Putting emphases on researching Chinese education,professor Wen Rumin not only participates in the reform and practice of Chinese education,but also puts forward plenty of opinions and suggestions about it,mainly including: on the Chinese textbook compilation,professor Wen insists in “upholding fairness and innovating”.Not only does he attach importance to the canonicity and contemporaneity of the textbooks and selected passages,but also emphasizes that the compilation of textbooks should keep stable,which means that it should connect with the former textbooks,absorbing the conducive experience and making some improvement;on the teaching of reading,professor wen advocates the cultivation of students’ reading interest.He thinks that the utilitarian reading ignores the personalized needs of students,which is detrimental to the life-long development of students.Instead,students should be guided to do some extracurricular reading and classic reading to stimulate their reading interest;on the teaching of writing,professor Wen gives priority to enlightening the rational thinking of students.In terms of the phenomena of emphasizing more on writing and writing in certain samples in the teaching,he puts forward that we should give play to the positive guiding role of the college entrance examination and reform the topic assignment and standard of evaluation of the writing of the college entrance examination in order to make the teaching of writing develop according to the cultivation of students’ thinking ability.He also points out that writing capability can’t be improved without the accumulation of reading,so he emphasizes the expansion of the reading quantity of students and the combination of reading writing and thinking so as to improve the writing ability of students.Wen Rumin’view of Chinese education not only includes secondary school language education,but also involves college language education,on the teaching of College Chinese,professor wen analyzes the dilemma facing the teaching and proposes that the reform and development of College Chinese should be emphasized and the interest of learning Chinese of students should be fostered in order to improve their Chinese attainment and achieve the literal sense of College Chinese.Making every effort to collect the materials of the Chinese education thought of professor Wen,the writer combines it with the contemporary background of Chinese educational reform,clears up the Chinese education concepts of him and discusses the guiding significance of his education concepts to the contemporary Chinese teaching.
