How to improve the cohesion and attraction of Marxism to Chinese college students and how to protect the ideological security of college students is a very important practical problem.It is necessary for us to seriously understand and deal with how to improve the understanding,judgment,evaluation and selection of Marxist ideology in the new period.We must conscientiously sum up the valuable experience of Marxist ideology education and constantly learn from the historical experience.Based on the experience,the present study aims at the formation of a new rational understanding as well as the theoretical innovation of Marxist ideology education,which can provide some implications on the future researches.This thesis falls into into four parts:The first part mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the research,the domestic and foreign studies on the ideological education of Marxism,as well as the research ideas and research methods the author adopts.This part forms the basis for the succeeding research in this thesis.The second part analyzes the scientific connotation of the classical Marxist ideology,the scientific connotation of the Chinese Marxist ideology,as well as the historical evolution of the Marxist ideology education since the founding of the country from the historical perspective.The third part analyzes the main problems of Marxist ideology education for college students,the causes of those problems,as well as the goal and content of Marxist ideology education for college students.The main problems are that college students don't welcome ideology education,they lack theoretical knowledge and firm Marxist belief and that their political values are utilitarian-oriented,and so on.The main causes of these problems are: the lack of effective college education,the lack of traditional virtues,the infiltration of capitalist ideology and the impact of multiple values.The fourth part puts forward the constructional suggestions on Marxist ideology education for college students: the universities should improve teachers' understanding of the importance of Marxist ideology education;the methods of Marxist ideology education must be combined with information technology;the content of Marxist ideology education must comply with the practical needs of college students;the teaching style of Marxist ideology education must diversify and so on.
