In the 21 st Century,with the educational informationization,people realize that the information literacy is a basic ability in the modern society.The traditional information technology teaching is teacher centered,and students in a passive position.As a consequence,it is difficult for students to develop the ability of the information literacy.Unit theme teaching emphasizes the student-centered,letting students learn in activities,which is conducive to the improvement of students' information literacy.To explore the unit theme teaching steps in the design and implementation of information technology teaching,this study uses empirical research methods.Through the teaching practice,this article draws the conclusion of the unit theme teaching effect and gives advice.The results of this study show,compared with the traditional teaching,that unit theme teaching is beneficial to the students to master the subject knowledge,and improve students' ability to use information technology to solve problems.It is conducive to the improvement of students' information literacy.What's more,it has the reference value to the teaching practice in senior high school information technology teachers.The paper consists of five parts.Part one introduces the background knowledge of the current study,discusses the purposes and illustrates the thoughts and methods of the present study,and it also introduces the innovation of this paper.Part two is a literature review.It first clarifies the historical evolution of the unit theme teaching,and then the relevant concept definition differentiates.This paper puts forward the basic characteristics and functional objectives of unit theme teaching,and puts forward the relevant theoretical basis of education.Part three is the design of unit theme teaching.First of all,it puts forward the basic requirements of the design and the implementation steps.Then,for specific case design,this part selects a high school information technology unit theme.Part four is the practice of thematic teaching.At first,it displays the implementation process.Then,with the students' work,knowledge test,questionnaire survey and students' reflection,it analyzes the practical results.The last part summarizes the research,points out the deficiency of this research,and gives some suggestions for the future research.
