At the present stage,there exist a variety of problems in oral English education in middle schools,such as: oral language teaching emphasizes more on cognitive factor in teaching process,while overlooking the emotional activities;English classroom teaching atmosphere is not active;oral English teaching has low efficiency.Based on these problems,many scholars have done researches from different perspectives,which are of great guiding significance to solve the problems above.However,through further studies we found that these scholars explored the middle school oral English teaching from the perspectives of either cognitive factors or emotional factors respectively,while explorations from the fusion of cognition and emotion were not enough.Under the guidance of humanist psychology and constructivism theory,this thesis applied the Strategy of Integration of Cognition with Affection in the middle school oral English teaching and achieved a good effect.The strategy of fusion of cognition with emotion refers to the strategy of formulating and implementing the teaching program of unified cognition and emotion by giving full consideration of cognitive factors,which are language learning,together with the development of emotional factors,which are the effects of emotions,attitudes and values in the process of teaching.The thesis studied on the basic composition,main content and essential points of operation of the Strategy of Integration of Cognition with Affection and explored The Application of the Strategy of Integration of Cognition with Affection to the oral English teaching in middle schools.From the studies we found that the Strategy of Integration of Cognition with Affection can improve the efficiency of the middle school oral English teaching and active the teaching atmosphere in English class.Based on the studies,the author selected two parallel classes to carry out the experimental teaching.Among them,one is the experimental class,which adopted the Strategy of Integration of Cognition with Affection in oral language teaching;the other is the comparative class,adopting the traditional teaching strategy.Before experiment,the author made the questionnaires and oral tests on the oral English abilities of the two classes.After the completion of experiment,the author made a post-test on the oral abilities of the two classes and made the comparative study on the results of the two testsby the use of SPSS software to analyze the changes of the scores.The experimental data reflects that the students taught by the Strategy of Integration of Cognition with Affection had improved a lot in their oral abilities,which proved once again the effectiveness of the Strategy of Integration of Cognition with Affection in oral English teaching in middle schools.
