Classroom import is the initial link of teaching and an essential part of classroom teaching.It directly affects the follow-up of classroom teaching.Lead-in plays an important role in drawingstudents' attention,arousing their learning interest and exception,activating their thinking,and bridging the gap between what they have learned and what they will learn,and introducing the new knowledge naturally and smoothly.New Curriculum Standards of English also puts forward higher requirements on the quality of teaching.Classroom teaching is the importance phase to achieve higher teaching quality.Every classroom teaching process is closely related to the improvement of teaching quality,let alone lead-in part.Lead-in is the first step of classroom teaching,and it is also one of the most basic and important steps.However,problems occur in lead-in part when it has been put into teaching practice.To begin with,lead-in does not receive enough attention and simply is omitted by teachers.Under the pressure of various exams,teachers just go and interpret words and phrases,regardless of the attention and interest of students.Secondly,when designing the lead-in part,teachers do not alter lead-in methods according to different teaching material but repeatedly use the same method which they are familiar with.With view to the importance of lead-in and the status of lead-in in high school English classroom teaching,the author discusses the requirements on lead-in in different types of English courses.By reading the existing literature,the author sorts out theories about lead-in,concludes the core principles and requirements of lead-in.Then the author applies methods of classroom observation,questionnaire and interview to investigate the status quo of the lead-in in high school English classroom teaching.Finally,based on principles and requirements of lead-in,the author puts up with requirements for lead-in in different types of class,in order to guide English teaching and improve teaching efficiency.The author designed the following research questions:(1)The status quo of lead-in in high school classroom teaching-Is there lead-in part in high school English classroom teaching?What are the main ways of lead-in in high school English classroom teaching?Do teachers take into consideration different characteristics of different types of courses when designing lead-in?......)The paper can be divided into the following chapters.It begins with introduction.This part mainly introduces the research background,significance of the research,literature review,research methods and research questions.And then the first chapter introduces current situation of lead-in part in high school English classroom teaching.The second chapter deals with the results of the research and analysis of the results.The third chapter explores suggestions on lead-in and puts forward corresponding requirements on different types of courses,and the author also gives lead-in cases and analysis of the cases in this chapter.The last part of the paper is the conclusion part,including further discussion on lead-in and limitations of the research.The most important discovery of the study is to put forward requirements on different types of English courses in High school.
