Present Situation Of Golf Development In Hebei Province

Golf was firstly a game of Scottish shepherds to pass the time in spare times,after 500 years of development,it has developed into the world’s third largest sports only after football,and tennis,which has a significant influence worldwide.The reason may be that golf tightly links itself with ecological elements unique to nature such as blue sky,white clouds,and green land,and each sports participants can enjoy the special and unique experience.With the development of human society needs,golf has melt into some significant modern tags such as business,athletics,and exchange.In recent years,the development of golf shows the characteristics of industrialization.Golf as the core,leads to the development in the golf-related areas: construction and management of golf courses,golf events management,golf training,production and sales of golf products,and developments in the field of real estate,hotel and other related industries.The development history of golf in China shows that since the first golf club was set up in 1984,golf population has got a rapid growth,and to some extent,this has promoted the development of golf in China.From the perspective of golf competition in recent years,China also has fostered many influential golf athletes in the world such as Lianwei Zhang,Yani Zeng,Shanshan Feng and so on.Therefore,it can be concluded that both quantity and quality of the development of golf in China,have made a large degree of development.At the same time Hebei Province is one of the earliest provinces in China to develop golf.With advantageous features such as unique and rich geological and topographical condition,good natural environment and national efforts to build the Beijing-Tianjin leisure tourism ecosystem laid a solid foundation for Hebei to get vigorous development of golf in the future.This study takes all twenty three golf clubs in hebei province as the research object,and makes a comprehensive analysis of the present situation of the development of golf in Hebei province.After discussing the scale and characteristics of golf in Hebei province,and based on the comprehensive promotion of a faster development of golf in Hebei,this study puts forward some suggestions for golf development in order to seek a synchronized promotion both in speed and quality.Methods of literature,questionnaire,interview,mathematical statistics are applied in this study.It is shown in this study that the development of golf in Hebei Province has been mainly characterized by the following aspects:(1)the number of golf courses is one of the largest in China,but they are single-typed with an unbalanced geographic distribution;(2)There are lots of golf course,but the overall core competitiveness are unsatisfactory;(3)Club management mode is mainly half open membership,and attached to the real estate industry;(4)Golf participation population has luxury consumption ability,and aged 40-49,management staff from private companies;(5)Golf tournament is increasing year by year,but competition resources development and other related work is still relatively backward.Thus,the present study,based on findings of survey,proposes several suggestions:(1)Combined with the advantages of superior natural and tourist resources,rational distribution of golf courses should be coordinated;(2)Based on a long-term prospect,the internal service quality should be strengthened in order to improve the overall core competitiveness;(3)The construction of golf driving ranges should be strengthened to improve the management pressure of the enterprise;(4)Consumer groups should be actively expanded to put golf to its origin;(5)The training of competition-related staff should be strengthened and great importance should be given to the competition status and role.Overall,this study is a comprehensive investigation and study on the development of golf in Hebei province.It not only makes an analysis of the present situation and trend of golf development in Hebei from a strategic perspective,but also proposes a relatively scientific and practical suggestions.What is more,it compensates for the deficiency of related academic research in Hebei.Therefore,it has profound theoretical significance and practical value for a healthy and sustainable development in Hebei.
