| In recent years,with the development of New Curriculum Reform,the primary and secondary schools launch a research on effectiveness of class.There is more and more voice on the efficient class.The junior English as a very important subject,also stimulates the educators’ exploration on the model of high efficient class,and the English in rural middle school as a weak subject,the exploration of the model of high efficient class is imminent.As a teacher who works in the rural middle school,I consider the English class in rural middle school as the research object,analyze the model of English high efficient class,combine the English learning situation of most rural middle school students,based on the autonomous learning theory,explore and study the model of English high efficient class in rural middle school.High efficient class tries to get maximum benefit of learning in class with a minimum of teaching input,the basic features of it are "independent construction,interactive activation,efficient generation and joyful sharing",and they are the same as the educational ideas of New Curriculum Reform,which are “autonomy,exploration cooperation In the classroom practice,it is usually guided by using the guiding case which was written by teachers and gave it to students before one or two days.The guiding paper can help students complete autonomous learning smoothly.The basic process of the class is "previewing before class and finishing the learning tasks on guiding case,leading into the learning goals in class,task assignment and group discussion,the students’ show on the blackboard,questioning,practicing immediately,consolidating and improving,summary.” The main purpose of this new class model is to complete the training of students’ knowledge and learning ability.In recent years,the study about high efficient class is not uncommon,but most remain in the macroscopic theoretical studies,for the research on specific subject is very rare,and for the research on the model of English high efficient class in rural middle school is rarer.The rural areas as a relatively closed place,the teachers’ teaching methods in English class are still relatively backward,their educational ideas are old and the technical training is poor,the school seldom offers learning opportunities toteachers,the teaching activities are also relatively simple,students who are affected by the environmental factors do not have the correct attitude towards English learning,they think English is very difficult and lack confidence in learning English.Influenced by the school,teachers and students,the reform of English class in rural middle school is imminent.The model of English high efficient class in rural middle school can help students to build their own English class.The initiative is returned to the students,so that they can think,explore by themselves,and it can also cultivate the students’ learning ability.So,this research is very necessary,and has the practical significance.This paper mainly launches the research from the four aspects of "the model of high efficient class and its theoretical basis,the status of rural middle school students’ English learning and the implementation significance of English efficient class,the design and implementation of the model of English high efficient classroom in rural middle school,empirical research and efficiency evaluation”,through the study,the writer found that students made great progresses in the learning motivation,learning ability,self-monitoring ability and learning strategies since the implementation of the model of English efficient classroom in rural middle school.The research results showed that among the 51 main research objects,18 students made obvious progresses in the development of learning ability,5 students were still in poor situation,the remaining 28 students achieved varying degrees’ progresses.In learning motivation,11 students in the class had a strong motivation to learn,27 students basically had the motivation to learn,but there were still 13 students don’t have obvious motivation.In self-monitoring ability,the ability of most of the students was gradually increasing,only2 students had poor self-monitoring ability,they couldn’t finish self-restraint.In the learning strategy,36 students mastered their own learning methods,9 students’ learning strategies were expected to be adjusted,6 students still did not have their own learning strategies,and they were in poor learning results.After one semester of practice,the experimental class and the comparative class produced a large gap,the differences between the two classes’ average scores were 7.3 points,and 13.7% in the high marks.So,the implementation of the model of English efficient class in rural middle school can help students achieve a better learning effect.Of course,there are still some limitations in this study.Restricted by the time and conditions,the research remains to be perfect.But I believe that this study can providesome references for the reform of the English class in rural middle school,and has some certain guiding significance to the improvement of the quality of English teaching in rural middle schools. |
