The study style is the external manifestation of soul and quality for a school, the construction of study style is an important symbol of educational philosophy, teaching quality and management level of colleges and universities. Furthermore, it is the concentrated reflection of the belief, morality, learning attitude and learning behavior of college students. Under the new situation, study style construction in institutions of higher learning has achieved remarkable results, presenting aggressive and pragmatic tendency. But there are still some problems that cannot be ignored, which seriously affect the rapid development and talent training quality of higher education in China. Thus, it is imperative to strengthen the construction of study style in institutions of higher learning.Review of domestic and international research as well as research ideas and research methods, related concepts of study style and its construction are defined and explained in this study, the development history of the construction of study style since the foundation of the state is analyzed. Through questionnaire survey, taking Hunan Agricultural University as an example, the current situation of study style is investigated, overall evaluation of college students on current construction of study style in institutions of higher learning, evaluation on teachers as well as evaluation of themselves are summed up, main problems and reasons in construction of study style in universities and colleges in the new period are from three aspects including students, teachers and school management, in order to promote the benign development of the construction of study style in colleges and universities. Countermeasures and suggestions for construction of study style in new period in institutions of higher learning were finally put forward combining with the current situation and the reality of the school:attention of leaders, concerted efforts; people-oriented, respect for demand; take the system as the outline, perfect the mechanism; take the teacher as the guide, motivate the study style; advance with the times, review the role.
