Objective:Effect of small molecule compounds in human blood under basal metabolic level with astaxanthin intervention for 28d and effect of recovery of small molecule compounds in human blood after cute high-intensity exercise with continued astaxanthin intervention.Methods:6 subjects (male students from School of Physical Education,Shanxi University) were arranged astaxanthin intervention (oral soft capsules, dose of 12mg/d, taking at 21:00 every day, taking for 35d).28 days later, all subjects underwent a high-intensity exercise in the early morning:30sx3 /3 min rest, the load is 0.075Kg/Kg body weight. The researchers collected venous blood 5ml before taking astaxanthin/before exercise (after taking astaxanthin)/immediate post-exercise/1h post-exercise/1d post-exercise/1w post-exercise, labeled as E1/E2/E3/E4/E5/E6 groups. All subjects were collected fasting blood in the early morning except immediate post-exercise and 1h post-exercise, all groups without eating disturbance. Blood samples were underwent 1H-NMR detection after centrifugation, removing protein, and other processings. Metabolic profiles were analysed by Mest ReNova, SIMCA-P, SPSS, then find out metabolic markers.Results:(1) E1-E6 groups at different stages could be clearly separated. The samples is different before and after astaxanthin intervention for 28d, before and after high-intensity exercise.(2) Supplementation of astaxanthin for 28d decreased levels of lactic acid, glutamate and glutamine in serum under basal metabolic, but increased the level of glycerol in serum under basal metabolic.(3) Before and after high-intensity exercise, with the astaxanthin intervention,we found out some metabolic markers in serum:lipids/ BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine)/Keto-bodies (?- hydroxybutyrate, acetoacetate)/lactate/creatine/carnitine/trimethylamine oxide/betaine/ glycine/glucose. All the levels of markers decreaseed except lactate, it was increased. All the levels of markers received in 1w, most of it went back to levels under basal metabolic spent about 1 day.Conclusions:(1) Supplementation of astaxanthin for28d effects glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism and other basic physiological processes.(2) Acute high intensity anaerobic exercise have big influences on the body's internal environment, which is acute high intensity anaerobic exercise changes human body's physiological systems, and it is recoverable.(3) With astaxanthin intervention, the body's energy metabolism system (involving glucose metabolism, lipids metabolism and protein metabolism)/immune system/nervous system/structure of organization produce a series of changes after exercise and will recover in 1 week. Astaxanthin intervention would accelerate some of the recovery process.
