Since 1980 s,a large number of rural surplus labor force immigrates to cities along with the development of Reform and Opening.Combined with China's unique urban-rural dual system structure, the education of these rural labor force's children become a severe problem.Besides, since the huge gap which exists between urban and rural areas cannot be eliminated in a short time, labor migration will still exist within following decades, which determines the existence of rural Left-behind Children and Migrant Children are long-term phenomena in China. For the education of rural Left-behind Children is poorer than other children and are more sensitive to the absence of their parents, this paper mainly talks about rural Left-behind Children.Firstly, this paper carries a research on the current situation of rural Left-behind Children's education from spatial distribution, lack of family education as well as academic point of view, based on the basis of data filtered from CFPS(2010&2012).Secondary,the article uses Propensity Score Matching to study how parents' absence in daily life will affect their children's education and carries on robustness analysis by gender and subject.Thirdly, compared with previous studies, this paper conducts an in-depth research in the following two aspects. The one is taking PSM-DID method in order to study the effect of household registration system and national education policies published on those children whose parents are outside is positive or not.The other is focusing on Left-behind Children's family education models. The children in rural areas aged 7-15 are classified into five different groups as migrant children,single-parent-out children(including only father-out children and only mother-out children),both-parents-out children and the children of complete rural families.Use a couple of models like GPSM model to analyse the influence of parents' absence under different talent cultivating models. After the combination of the latest developments in the propensity score matching and micro database CFPS data to study how parents' absence in daily life will affect their children's education, the research results show the following three conclusions:(1)Parents' absence would not exert an obvious negative influence on their children's academic performance. However, the mother's absence would cause an obvious negative effect.Though there are no significant differences when taking children's gender into consideration, there exists differences between children's grades: parents' absence would cause an obvious negative effect on primary school students' Language score;(2)The effect of household registration system and nationaleducation policies published on those children whose parents are outside is not significant, the equal access to education of the Left-behind Children may be realized in the near future;(3)On the continuous developing vision, the extended use of general propensity score matching analysis found that under the new model of family education model migrant children perform better in studying. This paper's results show that the migrant children's academic achievements are better than any other groups.
